I had been somewhat losing faith in the series. What happened to the great action scenes, the questions about existence and creation. It was episodes of talking and talking and talking.
Still, I bought it just to finish out the ride.
I'm so glad I did. The first four episodes, Sometimes a Great Notion, A disquiet follows my soul, The Oath and Blood on the Scales are some of the finest pieces of television ever.
I've never been a fan of Laura Roslin, I'll admit. But the speech she gives in The Oath made me stand up and cheer. And then we have the speech in Blood on the Scales gave me the chills. It's one of the finest pieces of television I've seen.
This is BSG at its finest again.
